Chef Michelle of Atlanta, Georgia About: Chef Shell is a private chef, caterer, author, and mother to three beautiful adult children. Before pursuing a career in culinary arts, Chef Shell was a full time IT professional, reserving her grand cooking skills to cook for family, friends, and holidays for over thirty years. She has been featured in Authority Magazine, Shoutout Atlanta, Black Profits, and most recently brought her talent to the screen on “The Wille Mo Show”! Chef Shell received her culinary degree from Escoffier School of Culinary Arts in 2022. There she was formally trained in Spanish, Asian, French, American, and multitude of other cuisines! It is her goal to continuously offer her clients a unique dining experience by infusing flavors from all over the world. How it all started: Straight out of the dirty south this Queen of Southern Cuisine was born in Jacksonville, Florida on a beautiful Spring Day. Eventually her family relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, but Chef would begin her passion for cooking in her grandmother’s (Mary Lee Tyler) kitchen. Learning everything from frying, sautéing, baking, and more. Soon, with the expansion of her own family she began to explore, and dive deeper into, ways that you could make eating food a dynamic experience every time! Fresh ingredients, and an overpouring of love to make every meal feel like home. A pillar of her community, long contributing to many causes that help to feed low-income families and aiding those less fortunate. Living by the phrase, “Blessed to be a blessing”. Chef Shell is on a mission to encourage and bring joy through her passion for cooking. From the very first bite you will be transported back in time, and soon filled with memories of the love that surrounded you when the smell of Grandmas cooking filled her home. Inspired by all her grandmothers before her, she plans to continue the legacy by sharing our traditional family recipes with all of you. Stay Tuned! Her Vision To empower women, uplift her community and advocate for lifelong learning. It is never too late to go after what you desire, and with commitment and perseverance anything can be achieved! Chef desires to own a culinary school that will educate young mothers on how to cook and turn those skills into a profitable business. Furthermore, as she begins to expand and increase there will be a restaurant to serve up all her delicious cuisines, and recipes! Changing lives just a little soul food at a time
